Giclée Fine Art Printing

Putting the art into printing

We are a studio specialized in art printing in Bristol , run by local artists. Giclée printing allows us to create incredibly rich and detailed fine art prints, using specialist printers, archival quality, fade-resistant inks and acid free art and photo papers.

Our 12-colour Canon giclée printer produces incredibly detailed prints for both the fine art and photographic markets. Giclée prints render deep, saturated colours and have an exceptional quality that retains minute detail, subtle tints and blends. The term Giclée is meant to be applied only to archival digital prints made with fine art paper or canvas.

The Giclée printing process is environmentally safe since the inks are water-based and the paper is archival and acid-free. Thus, a Giclée must be treated as fine art and placed away from direct sunlight, even though we use long-life archival UV-safe pigmented inks supplied by Canon.

With our extensive knowledge of Photoshop we are able to colour correct, clean up, remove scratches and extend images to produce exceptional results from our scans or supplied images.

If your artwork has not yet been scanned or photographed, we can do this for you in our studio, using daylight-balanced lighting and specialised high resolution equipment, from £10 per image.

Our large paper collection means there’s a media suitable for every piece of artwork. Use something you’re familiar with or visit the studio with your artwork for a paper demo.

Using 12 colour Canon fine art printers and inks, we ensure each and every print is quality checked to our high standard, and packaged securely for delivery or collection.

The finest quality, archival, acid-free papers, approved by Fotospeed are capable of reproducing images at a very high resolution, from A6 to A1, and beyond.

Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315gsm.

This is our most popular paper across artistic genres. Particularly suited to fine art and illustration printing, it also lends rich colour and fine details to fine art photography.

Natural Textured Bright White 315gsm.

This is beautifully textured paper, similar to that of traditional watercolour. It’s natural white tone highlights the colour intensity of different pigments, including blacks. A sturdy paper, perfect for presenting artwork with an authentic feel.

Platinum Etching. 285 gsm

Platinum Etching is 25% cotton and 75% alpha-cellulose. A genuine mould-made paper in both look and feel, Platinum Etching is ideal for reproductions of traditional artworks, and also for striking and expressive photo reproductions and illustration.

Natural Soft Textured. 315gsm
This paper has a similar, cartridge-like texture to its cousin, Natural Soft Textured Bright White. The white finish, however, is more traditional which can help maintain certain qualities, such as when an original piece has a slightly off-white background.
Natural Textured 315gsm
A hardy paper with a traditional white finish. The texture is similar to a watercolour paper, and certain mediums really benefit from these authentic qualities.
